Higher investments and revenues through expansion of operations
In Q1 2012, due to its synergy with B.net and entrance into new markets, Vipnet has successfully capitalized on the high demand for convergent products and services. Revenues in Q1 were higher by 2.5% and amounted to 92.5 million euro. Consolidated EBITDA amounted to 27.4 million euro and increased by 9.9% compared to Q1 2011, which is the result of increased revenues and reduced costs primarily due to lower material and interconnection costs.

With the new reinforcement in the extended Management Board, Vipnet has introduced new service into its offer. After Vip duo package, a combination of fixed and mobile telephony, Vipnet presented Vip TV. Vip TV service is digital television of high quality based on the technology used for television with high-speed data transfer.

Free surfing on Vip's LTE network until the end of June
Until the end of June, customers can surf Vip LTE network for free, and new data transfer tariffs and devices for the 4G network are now available. The 'Vip mobilni internet LTE M' tariff includes 20 GB for a monthly fee of 300 HRK, while the 'Vip mobilni internet LTE L' includes 40 GB for a monthly fee of 600 HRK.

Končar in Barcelona presents hybrid base station system developed for Vipnet
At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Končar – Electrical Engineering Institute presented a unique autonomous power supply system for base stations developed for Vipnet. This innovative product that goes by the commercial name of KONČAR Hybrid Power Supply is powered by renewable energy sources, and for the production of electricity, in addition to sun and wind, for the time also uses fuel cells.
